The Chelsea Boot

A boot with no laces and nothing to prove. Cut from smooth, full-grain calfskin with twin elastic gores and a discreet woven heel tab, the Chelsea is the most quietly versatile shoe a wardrobe can hold — equal to a morning meeting and an evening that runs long.

We build ours on a Goodyear welt with a slim leather sole, keeping the profile close and elegant rather than rugged. The leather is finished by hand and lightly burnished at the toe, so the boot reads refined from the very first wear and only deepens in character thereafter. A leather lining and a cushioned insole make it as comfortable as it is correct.

It slips on in a single motion and carries a suit, raw denim or heavy wool trousers with the same easy authority. Resolable, repairable and made to be worn through many winters, it is the one boot most men eventually realise is the only boot they need.
