The Boat Shoe
The boat shoe, returned to its origins and stripped of every excess. Hand-sewn in water-resistant pebbled leather with a true 360-degree lacing system and a siped rubber sole that holds the deck — or the wet cobblestone — with quiet confidence. It is a shoe built for salt air, and it wears its competence lightly.
We chose a tonal rawhide lace and a genuine moccasin construction, hand-stitched so that the leather softens and conforms beautifully with wear. Rust-proof eyelets and a leather-wrapped collar are the kind of details that justify themselves over years rather than seasons. It is a warm-weather staple that steadfastly refuses to look like one, equally at home on a harbour walk and with rolled chinos in the city.
Worn sockless through high summer and with fine wool socks in the shoulder seasons, it is the easy, unbothered heart of a considered warm-weather wardrobe — the shoe you reach for when you would rather not think about your shoes at all.
